Project Management – Associate Director / Director

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work closely with oncology executive leadership to provide strategic operations support in an expanding oncology drug portfolio. The candidate must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail and work independently in a highly productive, decentralized team environment. A strong working knowledge of contract research organizations (CROs), and well as data management and visualization that provide support for drug discovery is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will contribute to advancing early oncology drug programs in a fast-paced, team-oriented biotechnology environment. Immuneering’s drug discovery spans the entire preclinical drug discovery spectrum, including Target Identification (TI), Target Validation (TV), Hit Identification (Hit-ID), Hit-to-Lead (HtL), Lead Optimization (LO), Preclinical DMPK, ADME-Tox, In Vitro and In Vivo Pharmacology.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to streamline preclinical project operations, timelines and costs in support of drug discovery
  • Oversee and direct relationships with diverse CROs (heavily outsourced model)
  • Collect, organize and document drug discovery reports from external vendors
  • Collate and process, where required, data into structured database
  • Contribute to optimal business relationships with external partners
  • Coordinate and communicate contracts with Finance for cost and billing updates
  • Other relevant tasks in support of company-wide activities



Position Requirements

  • PMP certification or related Project Management Professional (PMP) training or a biopharma track record and working knowledge of PM tools is required
  • Working knowledge of Data Warrior and/or Spotfire analysis tools is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills including actively listening, conflict resolution, ability to effectively influence diverse stakeholders for positive outcome
  • Outstanding communication skills. Highly organized, with attention to detail
  • Operational knowledge/familiarity of project management concepts and tools to plan, track, and communicate timelines, and milestones and drive for decisions and solutions to issues during the process
  • Independent and creative thinker; Entrepreneurial mindset


Education and Experience

Senior Manager (B.S./M.S. with 3-5+ years; Ph.D. with 1-3+ years of experience)

Associate Director (B.S./M.S. with 5-10+ years; Ph.D. with 4-6+ years of experience)

Preference to candidates who have demonstrated history of interdisciplinary team engagement involving preclinical drug discovery projects.
